Little knowledge about silicon nitride:

Silicon nitride has properties such as high strength, low density, and high temperature resistance. It is a super-hard substance, which has lubricity and is wear-resistant. It is an atomic crystal; it is resistant to oxidation at high temperatures. Moreover, it can resist the impact of cold and heat. It will not be broken if it is heated to above 1000°C in the air, cooled rapidly and then heated rapidly.

The silicon nitride ceramic is an inorganic material ceramic that does not shrink during sintering. Silicon nitride is very strong, especially hot-pressed silicon nitride, which is one of the hardest materials in the world.

After the silicon nitride ceramic is sintered by hot pressing, its hexagonal crystal structure is still preserved and fully integrated. It has very high strength and impact resistance, and plays a very important role in bearing manufacturing and engine ignition.

The low-density characteristics of silicon nitride ceramics make it not too heavy in weight, and will not increase the weight of the product due to the weight in many production fields, causing additional pressure.

The applications of silicon nitride ceramics are as follows:

1: Metallurgical industry: crucibles, heating element fixtures, casting molds, aluminum liquid conduits, thermocouple temperature measurement protection sleeves, aluminum electrolytic cell linings and other components on thermal equipment.

2. Machinery industry: bearings, supports for heat treatment of metal parts, rotor blades, gas turbine guide blades and turbine blades, etc.

3. Chemical industry: ball valves, pump bodies, sealing rings, filters, heat exchanger parts, fixed catalyst carriers, combustion boats, evaporating dishes, etc.

The initial application of silicon nitride ceramics was mainly used in machinery, metallurgy, chemical, semiconductor and other industries, as parts of certain equipment or products, and achieved good expected results. The reliability of silicon nitride ceramic products continues to improve, so the application range is constantly expanding.
