Ceramic Radiant Pipe is a kind of handicraft. It is pressed into a blank from fine particles of α-SiC and additives. It is in contact with liquid silicon at high temperature. The carbon in the blank reacts with the infiltrated Si to form β-SiC, and with α -SiC is combined, free silicon fills the pores, thereby obtaining a high-density ceramic material. The material has good high-temperature oxidation resistance, high-temperature creep strength, and certain anti-carburization properties.


Property

Ceramic Radiant Pipe has the advtantages of high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, strong oxidation resistance, good thermal shock resistance. It consists of resistor wire welded at the end of U-shaped axial arrangement and ceramic support frame, and there is no shielding between the inner core and the outer protection casing, which dissipates heat well. 


Application

Ceramic Radiant Pipe can be used as a coating material for nuclear fuel, sealing parts of various machinery, high-temperature gas turbine parts (mainly combustion chamber), etc. It is also used in batches of desulfurization and dust removal devices in many thermal power plants and large boilers.The advantage of this method is that the finished product still maintains the original orientation of the carbon fiber, and the mechanical properties are similar to those obtained by other processes.

Differences between Reaction Sintering, Recrystallization and Pressureless Sintering

1. Reaction sintering: mainly uses carbon and silicon to react at high temperature to form silicon carbide to combine silicon carbide particles in the raw material. There will be more free silicon in the finished product. Specifically, it should be called silicon and beta silicon carbide combined with silicon carbide.

2. Recrystallization: The silicon carbide in the green body is vaporized by firing at a high temperature of about 2400 degrees and then recrystallized to form silicon carbide bonded silicon carbide particles in the green body.

3. Pressureless sintering: Different products choose different binders, and there is no pressure during the sintering process, including gas pressure.
