How to connect the Furnace Heating Element Sic?

1.The heaters can be connected in parallel, series, or a mixture of the two. Parallel connections are ideal, and any small changes in the resistance of the rods tend to be uniform over time. However, in tandem mode, this variation tends to increase resulting in reduced rod life.

2.The resistance of sic heaters increase very slowly, and up to four rods can be connected in series if their resistance values are well matched. When the furnace temperature exceeds 1400 degrees, it is recommended to limit the number of connected silicon rods to two

3.Mixing the two is usually an effective compromise, in which case the series groups should be paralleled. The rods should never be connected in series in parallel because the failure of one rod will overload the remaining rods in the set.

4.3 phase connections include star connection and angle connection. With star connection, 4 lines power supply is recommended in order to keep phase voltage in balance, having nothing to do with resistance; if star connection with 3 lines is utilized, phase voltage must be matched very closely.
