Product Description
Si3N4 Ceramics is a new type of non-metallic ceramic material. One of the popular product of Si3N4 ceramics is Si3N4 tube. The tubes are mainly used in conjunction with thermocouples to protect them. It allows the thermocouple to operate properly in special environments and to resist high pressures and high flow rates.
Process Method
It uses silicon powder as raw material and is first made into the desired shape using the usual molding method. Initial nitriding is done in nitrogen at 1200°C, so that part of the silicon powder reacts with nitrogen to form silicon nitride. This way the whole body already has some strength. It is then nitrided a second time in a high-temperature furnace at 1350°C to 1450°C to react with the silicon nitride.
