Furnace temperature detection and control

Thermocouples are generally used for temperature detection, but the thermocouples used must correspond to the measured temperature. Ni-Cr-Ni-Si (K scale) thermocouples must not be used to measure the furnace temperature around 1200°C. Platinum rhodium—platinum (S index) or double platinum rhodium (B index) thermocouple, otherwise the service life of the thermocouple is much shorter than that of silicon carbide rods, so frequent thermocouple exchanges are required, and the use of silicon carbide rods unfavorable. In addition, the installation position of the thermocouple should avoid the silicon carbide rod, and the free end of the thermocouple should be at least 150mm higher than the furnace top to ensure the accuracy of temperature measurement. Temperature control is often a combination of thermocouples and intelligent temperature control instruments. The primary voltage of the transformer is adjusted by adjusting the output voltage of the thyristor, and then the heating power of the silicon carbide rod is adjusted to achieve automatic constant temperature control of the furnace temperature. As long as the control parameters (P, I, D) of the temperature controller are adjusted properly (some meters have self-tuning functions), the temperature control accuracy can fully meet the process requirements, try not to use manual control. In addition, the thermocouple and the temperature control instrument must be connected with a compensating wire with the same graduation number as the thermocouple, otherwise the measurement error will be huge, and it is far inferior to using copper wire.
