Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Elements are made on the basis of molybdenum disilicide and are resistant to high temperatures and oxidation. When used in a high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere, they produce a bright, dense quartz (SiO2) glass film on the surface, which protects the inner layer of the silicon-molybdenum rod from oxidation, resulting in unique high-temperature oxidation resistance. Its general operating temperature range is 1600-1900°C. The resistivity of the element increases rapidly with increasing temperature.

Attentions

1. This type of element should not be used in the temperature range of 400°C-700°C, because under such unfavorable conditions, the component will undergo low-temperature oxidation and cause damage to the component.

2. They are suitable for use in air and neutral air. Reducing the atmosphere (such as hydrogen) will destroy the protective layer, and chlorine and the sulfur vapor will directly damage these elements.
