Aluminum Titanate Riser Tube is widely used in harsh environments. It belongs to the pseudobrookite crystal of the orthorhombic system. The thermal expansion coefficient is about 9.5E-6/℃. It is excellent material with a low thermal expansion coefficient. At present, there are three main methods for the synthesis of aluminum titanate: 

1. A solid-phase method in which a mixture of Al₂O₃ and TiO₂ powders is calcined at a high temperature to cause a solid-phase reaction; 

2. A liquid-phase method of metal alkoxide or metal salt hydrolysis products; 

3. Use VCD and other gas phase methods.

The synthesis and preparation process of the solid-phase method is simple and does not require special equipment. Although it cannot achieve high-purity and ultra-fineness, it is a common preparation method; the liquid-phase method can produce ultra-fine aluminum titanate powder with high purity, but the process is complicated; The obtained powder has high purity, less agglomeration, narrow particle size distribution range, and easy control of the atmosphere during the chemical reaction, but requires a lot of energy and complex equipment.
