Tips for preserving the life of the molydisilicide heating elements 

-Heat the empty furnace to 1550 degrees Celsius and hold for 1 hour, then slow down or simply shut down the furnace. A thin layer of the protective glass can be applied to the components.

-If you must run the furnace at temperatures below 800°C for an extended period of time, use the initial ignition procedure described above to repair the surface.
