Installation Of Silicon Molybdenum Rod

1. Vertical suspension
Silicon molybdenum rods are very brittle at room temperature and have plasticity at high temperatures. Therefore, the best installation method for U-shaped silicon molybdenum rods is vertical suspension. The silicon molybdenum rod is vertically hung on the furnace roof by a fixing clip. The purpose of this installation is to avoid adding mechanical stress to the heating end of the silicon molybdenum rod, otherwise it will easily cause the silicon molybdenum rod to break.
2. Fixing clip
The weight of the entire silicon-molybdenum rod is borne by the fixing clip, and the position of the silicon-molybdenum rod is also determined by it. Therefore, it must be carefully installed to ensure that the components are suspended vertically. In order to avoid local overheating, the conical part of the lower end of the silicon molybdenum rod must extend into the furnace.
3. Connecting belt
The connecting wire contacting the silicon molybdenum rod adopts aluminum braided tape or multilayer aluminum foil. The outer clamp only serves as a clamping function and is not used for conducting electricity. The end of the wire is connected to the bus bar. In order to avoid the transmission of mechanical stress to the silicon molybdenum rod, the length of the wire should be slightly longer than the straight line distance between the silicon molybdenum rod and the bus bar.
When installing the components, do not tighten the screws on the chuck too tightly at one time, and tighten them when the silicon molybdenum rod rises to a high temperature, because the silicon molybdenum rod has a certain degree of plasticity at this time and is not easy to break. The temperature of the chuck is generally not higher than 200 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the contact voltage between the chuck wire and the silicon molybdenum rod should be reduced by 0.1V. In order to prevent the radiant heat from being transmitted to the chuck, the distance between the lower end of the chuck and the top of the through brick should not be less than 50mm. In order to avoid damage, generally silicon molybdenum rods with a diameter of 6/12mm cannot be used for a long time at 170A, and silicon molybdenum rods with a diameter of 9/18mm cannot be used for a long time at 300A.
